Haydn HarmoniemesseMarch 2017

A world away from the massed-choir extravaganzas for which Gabrieli Roar is renowned, March 2017 saw us collaborate with choirs in a smaller context, enabling them to sing alongside our professional singers and orchestra in performances of Haydn’s last major work, the exuberant Harmoniemesse.

An English CoronationJuly 2018

An English Coronation, Gabrieli’s spectacular new recreation programme, convened an ensemble of more than 400 performers drawn from the Gabrieli Consort & Players and members of nine partner choirs to create a thrilling reconstruction of a 20th century coronation in Ely Cathedral.

Praetorius Mass for Christmas MorningDecember 2017

At the beginning of December 2017, 150 singers drawn from two of our partner youth choirs – Bradford Catholic Youth Choir and David Ross Education Trust Youth Choir – joined 30 of Gabrieli’s professional musicians to perform Praetorius Mass for Christmas Morning.

Gabrieli Roar at Ely CathedralJuly 2016

In July 2016, Paul McCreesh and professionals from the Gabrieli Consort joined nearly 200 young singers for a three-day residential course in Cambridge, culminating in a performance in Ely Cathedral as part of the Cambridge Summer Music Festival.

Vivaldi Gloria at St Stephen WalbrookOctober 2015

The first public concert under the new Gabrieli Roar name was a performance of the Vivaldi Gloria with London Youth Chamber Choir, the highlight in an evening of entertainment for Gabrieli supporters at this beautiful Wren church in the heart of the City.

In January 2013 60 of the most senior members of the Gabrieli Young Singers Scheme joined Gabrieli and the Wroclaw Philharmonic Choir in Watford Colosseum to record Britten’s monumental and devastating War Requiem.
