Haydn HarmoniemesseMarch 2017
In March 2017, Gabrieli Roar enjoyed a series of smaller, regional concerts, working in collaboration with choirs in small groups or individually. A world away from the massed-choir extravaganzas for which Gabrieli Roar is renowned, this gave us the welcome opportunity to collaborate with choirs in a smaller context, enabling them to sing alongside our professional singers and orchestra in performances of Haydn’s last major work, the exuberant Harmoniemesse. The projects included:
- 9 March 2017: A performance with London Youth Choir at St Andrew’s Church, Holborn
- 11 March 2017: A performance at St Peter’s Church, St Alban’s with choirs from across the South East including Cantate (Essex), Hertfordshire County Youth Choir and Taplow Youth Choir
