For our 40th anniversary season in 2022, we will revive our iconic programme, Venetian Coronation, for the first time in nearly seven years, also celebrating the 10th anniversary of our lauded 2012 New Venetian Coronation recording. This lavish sequence reconstructs the coronation mass of the Doge Marino Grimani, balancing festivity and solemnity in a compelling performance of music by Andrea and Giovanni Gabrieli.

Manchester was the location of Gabrieli’s first ever performance as a group, so we are thrilled to return to the city as part of our anniversary celebrations!
