Gabrieli Roar Regional Concerts

At the end of January we were thrilled to bring Gabrieli Roar to Bradford for the first performance in a new Regional Concert Series, with Bradford Catholic Youth Choir. The church was packed to the rafters and we were pleased to welcome special guests the Bishop of Leeds and Lord Mayors of Bradford.

These Regional Concerts continue in March 2017 our ground-breaking choral education scheme Gabrieli Roar will partner with four of the UK’s finest youth choirs for two performances of Haydn’s last major work, the exuberant Harmoniemesse. Soloists from the Gabrieli Consort join our period-instrument Players, under conductor Paul McCreesh.

On 9 March 2017 we join the senior choristers of London Youth Choir in St Andrew’s, Holborn for a performance also featuring music by Rheinberger and Rachmaninov. The London Youth Senior and Chamber Choirs will be directed by Robbie Jacobs in the first-half of the concert.

On 11 March in St Albans, Gabrieli combines with singers from Cantate, Hertfordshire County Youth Choir and Taplow Youth Choir in a performance also showcasing the three youth choirs individually, directed by Nicholas Shaw, Victoria Longdon and Gillian Dibden respectively.
