Steve AllenTreasurer

Steve specialises in infrastructure finance, and is currently consulting on major transport improvements in North America. He was previously the Chief Finance Officer of HS2 Limited, the £50 billion project building a new high speed railway between London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds; and Managing Director, Finance for Transport for London responsible for the £10 billion a year operational and investment finances of TfL. He started his career in the civil service before working in investment banking for Citigroup and Abbey National.

Steve has also been a Trustee of the Abbeyfield Society which provides housing for older people, where he chaired the Finance Committee, and has gained considerable experience of finance issues in charities.

Steve has been an enthusiastic supporter of Gabrieli since hearing their first recording of A Venetian Coronation and seeing them perform in Venice. He is a longstanding patron and joined the development advisory group in 2011 and the Board in 2012. He now acts as Gabrieli’s Treasurer.
