Elijah 2011

In 2011, immediately following a BBC Proms performance to a packed Royal Albert Hall, we recorded Mendelssohn’s Elijah with an enormous orchestra of Gabrieli Players and a choir in which Gabrieli were joined by Wroclaw Philharmonic Choir and the Gabrieli Young Singers Scheme (now Gabrieli Roar). This recording session photography captures the enormity of the project and the incredible thrill of hearing that enormous sound for the first time at the start of the first session!
