Acis and Galatea on tour 15.02.07
Gabrieli Consort & Players perform Handel’s Acis and Galatea in London, Paris and Amsterdam.

Gabrieli's next London concert on 25 April features a performance of Handel’s elegant pastoral masque, Acis and Galatea. Christ Church Spitalfields, Gabrieli’s stunning London home, provides the backdrop for the mythological tale of two lovers torn apart by a jealous giant. As popular today as it was in the eighteenth century, this beautiful musical setting will feature soloists Rosemary Joshua (Galatea), Paul Agnew (Acis), Christopher Purves (Polyphemus), Robert Murray (Damon) and Richard Butler (Coridon).
Booking is open through the Barbican box office on 0845 120 7543. Tickets are priced from £5-£35 and include a post-concert drink. £5 discount for under 16-year-olds and full-time students with relevant I.D.
Acis and Galatea will also be performed 23 April at the Théâtre de Champs-Elysées, Paris; 10 November at Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, Zagreb, Croatia; and 13 November at the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam.
