Christmas concerts a resounding success 06.12.07

The Gabrieli Christmas concerts at Christ Church Spitalfields on Tuesday 4 December have received a positive and thoughtful review from the Times.
Reviewer Hilary Finch describes the polychoral Praetorius pieces as “a delightful example of McCreesh’s own virtuosity in recreating spatial drama in music”. The exuberance of the Praetorius contrasted with the “hushed and haunting” and even "disquieting beauty" of the English carols and Finch singles out soprano Grace Davidson’s angelic solo in Leighton’s Lully lulla.
