Just announced!

On the second night of the BBC Proms, a very rare opportunity to witness a recreation of the gargantuan performances of Haydn’s Creation which Haydn himself conducted in Vienna. Massed Gabrieli forces, conducted by Paul McCreesh, are joined by the Chamber Choir from Chetham's School of Music and the Wrocław Philharmonic Choir. This concert launches a 'Creation'- themed first Saturday of the Proms, commemorating the joint anniversaries of Haydn and Darwin.

Louise Fryer is joined by David Wyn Jones (Cardiff University) and conductor/musicologist Denis McCaldin to introduce Haydn's The Creation.
