Gabrieli Consort & Players and its Artistic Director Paul McCreesh celebrate five years of innovative music-making at their London home of Christ Church, Spitalfields. Twenty years since the release of their pioneering recording, A Venetian Coronation 1595, join the ensemble for a musical re-creation evoking the grand pageantry of the Coronation Mass for Venetian Doge Marino Grimani, whose love of ceremony fuelled an extraordinary musical bounty during his reign. Experience the dazzling polychoral works of Andrea and Giovanni Gabrieli as they resound from the galleries of Hawksmoor's architectural masterpiece.
