On 07 & 08 March, members of the Gabrieli Players will join forces with the renowned American ensemble, the Folger Consort, and actors Derek Jacobi and Samantha Bond for two performances of ‘The Merchant of Venice – Music and Poetry’ at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, London. This unique performance will explore the music of the extraordinary wind plays of the Bassano family with readings from Shakespeare’s celebrated play. We are delighted to be able to work with the Folger Consort in such a beautiful and atmospheric setting.
